About Us

In 1928 Phillip H. Swartley founded "Lansdale Sports and Electric", a small business which sold appliances and sporting goods and did electrical work. In 1947, after Robert W. (Bud) Swartley received his Electrical Engineering Degree from Lehigh University, the business name was changed to "Swartley Brothers Engineers, Inc.".

Today, our services range from preliminary engineering to actual installations. Swartley Brothers is based in Lansdale, Pennsylvania (approximately 25 miles north of Philadelphia) and specializes in industrial and commercial accounts in the Delaware Valley.

Swartley Brothers comprises approximately 90 electricians, two electrical engineers (including one licensed Professional Engineers) and a highly qualified office staff. Several of our electricians have been with us for over 30 years. As a result, our clients enjoy the benefits of this expertise and experience through quality work done by dedicated, knowledgeable electricians.

In 1984, Swartley Brothers began working in the cellular phone industry with a major cellular company. Since then, we have used our expertise to expand our business with other cellular providers including those providers that specialize in multiple paging and two-way radio service. This diversity has positioned our company to become a leader in construction and maintenance in the communication field.

We continue to listen to our customers and now show them how we can help them to lower their energy costs with new technology and other recommendations.

Swartley Brothers services four of the largest companies in Montgomery County, one of which has contracted us for more than 40 consecutive years. We have shown continuous growth throughout the years even when our competitors have downsized or gone out of business. This is primarily due to the consistently high level of workmanship we offer our clients.
